“I didn’t play with the dolls, I built their doll houses.
As long as I can remember, I wanted to construct and make things beautiful, therefore it is not by accident that today, I am an award winning interior designer.”
My father loved to build homes. He and my mother built each and every one of the homes we lived in. As a young child, I would accompany my father to building supply stores, enthusiastically sandwiching myself in the middle of each of their house projects. Arriving at the store, I’d revel in the product choices before me – from the various shades and textures of brick to the various styles of lighting. Once the build was complete, my mother’s intuitive sense of style transformed each of the houses to comforting homes. Watching each house take shape from the ground up inspired my love of creating beautiful spaces. I’m still in those supply stores today, happily scouring the aisles for new products, researching current trends or shopping for that perfect accent piece.
Since graduating from Interior Design Institute in 2013, I have never stopped building my award-winning brand. I launched Lori Clarke Interior Design in 2014 and it continues to grow today.
